The Texas State Alumni Association awards more than $250,000 in scholarships and university support every year. The funds that support those awards are raised entirely by the Alumni Association through membership dues, event proceeds and gifts. The Association also supports events, such as area chapters, and programs, such as this website, designed to engage, inform, and involve Texas State graduates and supporters with each other and back to campus.

The Texas State Alumni Association will be a premier organization that promotes the Texas State traditions of pride and loyalty.

Mission Statement

The Texas State Alumni Association draws on the past to enhance the future in education through the contributions and talents of alumni and friends. The Association is the communication link that forges a strong bond between alumni and the University. We serve present and future alumni by actively supporting the University's goals, values, and accomplishments and by advancing the quality and stature of Texas State.

Goals

The Texas State Alumni Association's goals are to:

• raise and award over $250,000 in scholarships and university support every year;
• reach out and communicate with alumni and former students;
• reach out and educate students currently enrolled;
• design and fund a new Texas State Alumni Center.

The Association helps welcome new students through New Student Orientation and new alumni through Senior Sendoff. They also support current students through Alumni Scholarships and with support for projects through academic departments and organizations. The Association organizes chapter, regional and era alumni reunions. The Alumni Association helps sponsor and host Texas State Homecoming and celebrates their scholarship recipients at Scholarship Gala. The Alumni Association also sponsors a number of awards including Distinguished Alumni Award, the Teaching Award of Honor, the LBJ Outstanding Senior Student Award, the Alumni Achiever Award, and the Key of Excellence. The Alumni Association is supported through membership dues, scholarship donations, corporate sponsorships, and event revenue.
